As a young Parisian girl, Lili Freriks' dream was to be an artist ; something else at least then having a stuffy, regular job at the bank on the corner of their street, which was the very wish of her parents. But circumstances made she couldn't study at the famous Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

Finally she found her way in the world of cinema; Festival de Lille, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Festival d'Automne Paris, Cinematheque française, Centre Pompidou, Documentary Copenhagen, Sunny Side of the Doc/Marché du Documentaire Marseille. Many interesting encounters, a career as permanent education. But the desire to paint never left her. Since a couple of years she at last found the time to give it a go seriously; she made her dream come true.
